any coach worth their salt in oregon could of told you that for free without any travel.

400 eyes and not even one looking or drawn to an Oregon local club player.
Tell that to the 70+ coaches that showed up today at 8:00 am

Photo proof of coaches lining the sides. Video drones, national player video messages and the zone. Yep its just better.

I am not here to argue to say there is only one way to get recruited. But for the girls in Seattle right now, seeing 50 plus coaches at their games is exciting. Many will get a conversation out of this weekend, some might get more. How disrespectful you are to those children, not their parents, clubs, coaches, etc., but to those kids who worked hard to get where they are is really sad. Think of how they are feeling, how nervous, how hopeful, how hard they have worked while you sit on your a** and do nothing but call people stupid. Yep, you win the classy person of the week award! Congratulations!

Our team had 0 coaches scouting/evaluating at our first two showcae games as we were in the bottom tier of participants grouping. We did see about 8-10 coaches at champions league grouping match between FC PDX & Real So Cal U17.

So many fields here at 60 acres and so many average team mixed in with the better teams it's impossible to guarantee you will be seen unless your opponent is stacked with identified/recruited talent.

"Hard Work" is actually code for "cold hard cash' needed to travel all year then come to the end of year jamboree that does feature a top flight group featuring some the best girls teams from all over the country Oregon doesn't feature much or at all in these groupings, the level that does have coaches following up evaluating the talent they are chasing.

Sorry my thread starter indicated this event in Redmond was the 'ECNL Finals' it is not.

It's merely an end of year showcase for nearly 70% of the teams but in the Champions bracket teams will advance to the ECNL Finals in July in Richmond Va.

Don't worry Oregon will not be attending.

Very true. It's just impossible to guarantee that any girl is going to get looked at. If you've emailed the coaches and called them and given them your schedule, they may come to your game and watch you. But don't think coaches are just meandering around stopping randomly at fields and then taking note of players. The coaches are purposeful. They go to watch players who have shown interest in the program and who show the capability to play there. If the coaches are at your game and your dd hasn't contacted them, then more than likely the coaches aren't going to pay attention to them, unless they really shine. Go to a soccer game with two teams you don't know and just watch and see if you notice any players.

What? You mean precious little Onyx hasn't won a game? But just a year ago, those parents were crowing about how great they are and how they can play with any team around. They beat DeAnza even. I guess it shows that in any single game, a team can win. But when you play a steady diet of non-Oregon teams, you find out how you REALLY match up. Maybe after a year of eating crown and seeing their team get worse and worse as the year progressed, those parents will just sit down and shut up and realize that they aren't all that and a bag of chips. Maybe Tom isn't nearly as great as those parents think he is. I know the U14 parents don't think that much of him.

The CU U17 team finished 16th out of 16 teams in the lowest division. That powerhouse FC Nova actually finished 5th to show you how weak that division was. Nationally there were 13 teams that didn't qualify for this low division, and one of them was Utah. If those teams had competed, who knows, maybe the CU team would have finished near or at the bottom of all of the teams.

It's the end of season Jamboree for aa handful of teams in Seattle at U14 & U18.
BTW since there isn't a single Oregon team participating at u14 & u18. So why would anyone have a thread Starter about Finals of the ECNL jamboree for teams not from Oregon? & then post it on the Talking-Soccer.com OREGON page? The ECNL National finals are in Richmond Va during July. Please don't post a link to that as well as again no OREGON teams will qualify. Thanks in advance.

What, not even precious little Onyx? But I thought they were so good. Just ask their parents.
