There are many ways someone can get exposure, so in the end youth soccer is what we all know it is, a money grab. Every club both in OPL and OYSA do it for the money. If they didn't care about the money there wouldn't be so much politics going on.
explain to us how your youth soccer model would work

        Reunited?????

I see in the oysa U14 Boys Prem that both Crossfire and FCP have teams, does this mean the ice is melting? What will all the haters have to post about now?

          Funny times

You know you have teams for HS boys willing to travel to WA 3+hrs for league play. I think you all need to stop fighting and work towards combining the league and developing divisions.

Someone has to give I don't care who but as parent in WA I don't want my DS traveling to Oregon for an away game.

Well on the boys side it was obvious that there was no competition in the OPL at this age level for the FCP boys and their closest games were against the Greens.

Interesting. That FCP U14B team is the only one they sent to Nationals, even though other ages qualified. Maybe the FCP DOC is starting to get the ball rolling.

HS boys in Vancouver have no choice. If they want to play HS soccer, then they have to play in a Washington league that plays in the fall. Either RCL for Washington Timbers or PSPL for Pacific FC.

How do you play a 14 game schedule with 14 teams?

Looks like their DOC/Coach did what all coaches should be doing (whether outside or inside the TA, OPL, or other): put their team in the league that makes the most sense for the kids on that team. Hopefully coaches on both side of the divided will follow that example.

Don't hold your breath waiting to see TA girls teams in the OPL...

There's some discussion at FCP about putting some of their strongest teams in OYSA Spring League so they can attempt to win the OYSA state cup. So you might see GU12, GU13 in OYSA in the spring.

Probably won't happen but not as barren a landscape for competition in OYSA Girls as there is for OPL Boys. Of course FCP has some good teams, but there is a reason that they were in 6 of the 8 U11-U14 State Cup Finals, no competition.

Girls are reasonably equally split between the 2 leagues in U11-U14. From U15-U18, though, the best OYSA teams really should be playing in the OPL winter league.

And why is it that the OYSA HS teams should play in OPL for the winter league?

It would appear that they had quite a few boys/girls times in the finals prior to the split as well.
