Is that why tryout numbers were so big? Ha. So your team a and b teams had 30 players between them and your tryouts drew 25-30 players and your trying to tell us that you had lots of players move over? Try again. All these tryouts consisted of were players from your existing teams. Plus 4-6 more from random places if your team couldn't compete in NWCL or other out of state games last year don't expect any better results this year in ECNL. Poor ECNL lemmings. Fraser said jump, so keep jumping.

No matter how hard you try to disparage the ECNL teams, they are still a much better place to be than in the OYSA Timbers league with cavemen like you...

So the same team you paid $2,500 for last year is now going to cost $10,000, you won't see 3/4 of the games and you will be playing much better teams. So losing last year is going to translate to winning this year? Doesn't sound like too bright of a decision to me.

I see cost between 5-6 thousand for ECNL. Girls in this age group should be traveling and be seen at tournaments outside of Northwest if they have any desire to play past high school. TA teams traveling to Bend and local tourneys are the ones wasting there time and money unless they are looking for a modified rec experience. If your are already doing ODP and are on a progressive travel team.... $5,000 ish isn't out of line.

And it's a better team than the local ECNL.

We are not expecting to be successful in ECNL for 2-3 years. But if everyone sticks with it we should build a strong base by then and start finding success.

                  Why the obsession?

Just wondering why people are so obsessed to learn the names of the girls playing ECNL? I find the interest a little odd

Because everyone wanted to know the names of the academy players. They get posted on the ecnl website so holding them back doesn't do anything other than send an odd signal.

All it says that the invites are out and the money is due at the end of the month at CU. No need to publish a roster until it's official!

Once the checks are cashed they will send their rosters to the ECNL where they will be published.

Actually, nobody really cared about the names of the Academy players...

No kidding. The TA trolls have been worked up over the ECNL and are desperate to attack.

Even at $8000 per year that is about (x 18 players) $145,000 these families need to raise, so give them some time.

Ah, but yes they did. And since you all claim ECNL is the greatest thing to happen to Oregon soccer ever, shouldn't everyone be excited to put out there the names of the players who are a part of it? Must not be coming together as planned.

Or maybe we don't want to feed the TA trolls. They're looking well-fed as it is...
