Nothing to brag about.
Let me know if I was missing a coach.
Just remembered that I saw the power house, better known as, University of Idaho at the games as well.

And then the justification was about having to pay to travel to face better competition. So, our ECNL teams performed well this weekend. There were a number of games where they scored 4 goals. So tell me, is this the level of competition you were hoping for? Honestly, given that our teams came mainly from three OPL teams, do you remember those OPL teams beating other OPL teams by these margins on a regular basis? Did our OPL teams that formed our ECNL teams get beaten once in a while by other OPL teams? So really, so far, the competition hasn't been much better than what they got in OPL.

You know this how?

It was my actual experience on the ECNL sidelines that the local schools send "someone" over to watch. I highly doubt you would know who they are unless they introduced themselves to you or you asked who they were. So let's put this "claim" in the same dumpster with your "they aint gonna win a game" and the "they ain't gonna score any goals" pronouncements.
In addition to the "usual NW suspects" these teams will be seen MULTIPLE times by multiple schools from across the country. Does that mean they are going to get "offers" or even meaningful offers? Of course not but they are going to have to the opportunity to make arrangements with their targeted school to see them play high quality competition and YES that will include Bay Area schools when they travel to play league games. But of course you won't believe that.
Will the Academy get NW exposure? Hell yes! If they perform as expected in FWRL they should add a trip to Regionals to their Vegas exposure so they have two chances to compete for the attention of major programs.
Pointing out that there are more coaches watching fewer high quality teams at an ECNL showcase than Vegas is lost upon you but that is a big difference when you are asking for a coaches attention.

On the other hand

You seemed to be focused on the level of competition of ONE weekend but have neglected to tell us where the Academy played any meaningful competition this or last month compared to Phoenix.
The Academy "might" play ONE game against the quality of the FOUR against the Northern ECNL clubs outside of one or two at Vegas and one or two more in the first round of Regionals so please save the comparisons until then. Further the Bay Area clubs are not weak at every age so they will get more competition than the Academy will see playing the OYSA U17/18's.

I said it earlier, playing in the elite club league is expensive but if you break it down it's probably less than $800 per month which is within reach of most families.
Stop the bs about it being too expensive.

Well, funny that isn't happening. Yet lo and behold, they are going to the Thorns practice sessions. Maybe with a little work ECNL can get Lewis and Clark to show up.
