Remember ECNL is not a part of OPL. If you take the 200 ECNL players you are counting out of your OPL you will have an honest view of OPL's competitiveness.

It better be. Are you seriously saying your league has more competitive players than OYSA's average club?

Really? That is not something I would brag about…

There are as many former OYSA players on the ECNL teams as OPL players. So your number of 200 is way off. And yeah, I've seen alot of summer tournaments this year and didn't see any dominance by OYSA teams over OPL accept in situations where there were so few teams that they grouped them up into crazy groupings. And I know ECNL is not part of OPL, but the clubs that do have ECNL are OPL clubs. I've seen alot of players come over to our club this year from OYSA clubs trying out for ECNL reserve teams and even the ones that didn't get in are still staying with those clubs connected with ECNL. So get used to OYSA girls soccer downward spiral into rec land.

If the OPL is so deep why is Salmon Creek's B team beating THUSCs A (non ECNL) team 4-1 at U14? That should not happen. Salmon Creek B plays FC Navy this weekend. I sure hope the deep Navy team can represent the OPL strength.

Not Likely…more likely is after a season or two the "ECNL reserve" players will realize being a part of these clubs doesn't do any more to get them in ECNL then being a member of any other club, and the DOC's are so obsessed with ECNL that these clubs will have lost the leadership that supposedly makes them so strong…

But help me understand something, everyone talks about how weak OYSA is compared to OPL, but you say ECNL is plot equally between OPL and OYSA players? How can that be? Either ECNL has a lot of weak players, or there is much more parity between the two organizations?

Are you talking about THUSC silver??? I don't think I would consider Silver an A team.

So every top ten team in the country is an ECNL team?

Looking at top drawer soccer it sure looks like that's the case. All top ten teams in those age brackets are ECNL teams

None of them will ever say OR next to them. But because they all say ECNL, the OR teams can feel like they belong. It's like when your favorite team wins the superbowl, you feel like you had a hand in it. In reality, all you did was root for them and buy their jersey, the players are the ones that won the game.

How do you know this? Hyperbole and conjecture is all you have.

Maybe, but they'll get a lot closer than any OYSA TA team every will

Cover two coaches and manager air, hotel, rental car and mileage? That's BS!
