I know of two top quality coaches that were offered this team at one point. Both declined because of the parent base. These parents are nuts!

This team has turned the corner. No longer will they be demotated to division 2. They are only third worst now. Everyone can breathe again. Great job, Uncle Sunny and Uncle Vic.

jealousy and a propensity for stalking are a toxic mix...

When a team goes on a public forum and boasts how they see the potential that they will become the greatest ever, it invites people to follow their record…when the delusional postings continue people will push back. They won one game, congratulations, but contain your excitement until you have a little more to show.

The thing we used to be told is "act like you have won something before…"

Why was Garen let go?

Was there a fireable offense to explain why Garen was let go? What was it?

From everything I have read and heard, he was doing a decent job. The question I have not seen discussed is "Why did Timbers management replace him?"

If the reason is not obvious to everyone, then why should any good coach go to work for Timbers? Good coaches will stay away.

in Garen's defence - the parent group is a nightmare, they look for greener pastures all of the time. They went to play at Pacific for Bob L. - AYFKM? talk about a lost group of parents that don't have a clue!

Garen should be happy not to have this group.

They did not go to play at Pacific. Most were trained there, main core came from Pacific. Then they said Bob was not doing a good enough job, so they pushed him aside and brought in Garen, then moved to Timbers with Garen, then pushed Garen aside, as he was no longer doing a good enough job. Then brought in Victor. Who is a nightmare, so it does sound like the perfect match.

There is no good reason for a good coach to be at WT-FC. They don't pay well, the DoCs don't back up the coaches, and most of the best players go elsewhere anyway.

Of COURSE it can be discussed here. There is no reason it can't be discussed. If it is something bad, like Uncle Victor biting on a leg, then people need to know.

If there was a REAL issue, then the team parents would have heard about it for weeks and months before.

If this was a BS issue, then it would be done at the last minute, for minor reasons, and team parents would be stuck with no choice but to accept whatever the club told them , which is exactly what happened.

You know it was BS because some parents were in on the change before the others.

Only true about Garen. Pacific coach brought problems to himself.

Because the majority of the parents are whack jobs!
