Most of those were 15-25 years ago. Most them them dropped.

The truth is there is a particular parent in Vancouver (SC to be exact) whose kid was ousted from his team due to the parents behavior by the club. This person digs and digs and digs every chance he has as if it were VG's fault.

Every team this ousted parent has gone to he has caused a rift on and degraded VG. There are plenty of people who are willing to jump on the bandwagon after that and throw punches.

Why are there people who like VG? Because he truly cares about the individual kids development as well as the team. He takes every games serious and demands the same of the kids. Regardless of the kids level he wants their 100% best and is willing to help them achieve it.

Now look at every other coach in SW Washington, how many of them are willing to dedicate that much time and invest in kids that may not be the best? Very few.

I like most have heard about that incident, but I do not know any details, just the rumors. What bothers me more is why the people who have first hand knowledge did nothing. If it was as bad as it seems like it should have been why did nobody do a single thing about it? just makes no sense to me. That's one reason I'm not rushing to judgement because something isn't right with the allegations if nobody has done a thing about it.

No one can judge a coach's moral character based solely on the number of his court appearances. Many offenses are not pursued legally. Clubs don't want the negative publicity and parents just choose to leave. In the local soccer community, word-of-mouth reputation is worth more than convictions or acquittals.

What are you saying? That unsubstantiated rumors are legitimate because court records don't tell the whole story? Court records might be a bad way to judge someone gut it's better than relying on a rumor.

In Vantucky, there are age groups where there are no other choices. If I understand this thread, this is exactly what happened when people were unhappy with the coach and replaced him. Their new choice was very odd.

No rumors, I was there, personally witnessed offenses that could (should) have landed VU/VG in jail. Fortunately they did not involve my daughter.
