No kidding. Only fools think and believe people don't have access to healthcare in this country.

People should be excited that the ECNL is finally in Portland. They don't have to play if they don't want to or if they can't afford it. There is a lot of travel and it is expensive. There is great competition and experience as well.

For those players who do not want to, or are not able to, they can still play for their clubs team the way they do today.

It is ironic after all the talk about consolidating top talent those same people are suddenly opposed to ECNL. It just goes to show people are for consolidation as long as it's their club doing the consolidation.

I hope both ECNL clubs will be successful.

I totally agree with the above, and all the negative talk about opl and Ta is ridiculous, just as ridiculous as the split leagues. But the truth is even with xfire Oregon and thusc aligning for ecnl and fc on their own both clubs will need girls from all the clubs around the Pdx metro to truly compete with a majority of the other ecnl clubs. Hopefully people see that and the top Pdx metro talent consolidates and ecnl is successful here.

Nice try, but the drool is in the shape of dollar signs...I'm not sue there has been some limit to how much THUSC can compete outside of Oregon. But nice attempt to try to sound Nobel.

I wonder if we will see a migration of coaches to the ECNL clubs as well as players?

Wait. I am so confused right now. Should my daughter join the Timbers Academy because ECNL isn't coming to Oregon or because it is too expensive or because there is not enough talent in Oregon. I can't keep up with all your arguments. It seems like you keep changing them every time you pass gas.

So what is OPL doing for Boy's soccer. All this talk about how OYSA isn't helping girls, makes me wonder what has OPL done for boys, ECNL sure doesn't do much for them...

The OPL clubs have the integrity to recommend the DA program to their boys.

The two of you are dangerously uninformed. Just wait until one of you or a family member has health care needs that would bankrupt your family. Say a college student with cancer who is now uninsurable. What are you going to do when it comes back? Let her die? Send her to the ER? How about a young person who needs $1000 worth of medicine a month for life. Too bad?

What age group does she play for in ODP?

I was being serious. Just wondered if she was on one of our better age groups. Wasn't looking to offend.

Yep. One of the ones who has said of weeks this was happening. So good to hear the silence from all the nay-sayers
