Ok seriously is there information published anywhere about ECNL in pdx for next year? If not it has most likely passed our burg yet again.

Doesn't really matter what anyone does, it's just going to be shocking when their kids soccer cost them over 30k in 4 years on the hope that it makes them better than the kid who doesn't...the logic is flawed completely.
The solution is simple. Let's skim a couple of bucks off OYSA registration fees to offset the costs for ECNL players just like the Timbers do for the DA program. Problem solved!

If the TA were tuly note rested in furthering girls soccer they would support the coming ECNL programs similarly to how clubs support the DA program.

The reality is that the TA is selfishly trying to control and not improve.
I would love to see examples of THUSC, FC Portland, CROSSFIRE supporting the DA. We have seen countless complaints about not wanting money going to support boys etc…

You speak out of both sides of your mouth, and your bias is painfully obvious, you claim "The TA doesn't support ECNL based on one email from one coach" and you make the blanket claim that all OPL clubs have supported DA. Please get connected to reality, because you are just drifting lost.

One idiot (Cony) does not make the TA. However, 10-20 coaches with founding OPL clubs does make a strong representation.
Your generalizations are bs. Our club FCP has told our best players to tryout for DA. Our DOC (RB) has had 2 meetings with Gavin in the last three weeks regarding this.

Cony is not just one coach. He is the DOC for WST. Cony sent out a half coherent rambling email to his club stating his position and why he and WST do not support the ECNL. No club has done this toward the DA program.

There is a big difference between supporting a program like the DA and wanting to subsidize for it through OYSA fees. This is like using rec soccer to offset competitive fees. Worse actually since the Timbers then have a pro rights to these kids.

Cony definitely sets the tone for Westside. And the letter was a rambling "I know best, the rest of you are morons" laden with scare tactics rant. Though it was the most grammatically correct email I've ever seen from the club. To take such a hard line against the ECNL speaks to fear of losing some power.

This little skimming was one of the primary reasons for the OPL split in the first place. In addition to travel, there was substantial griping from the non-premier leagues about subsidizing ODP, resulting in substantially higher ODP fees. I think it's an incredibly short-sighted position, and agree with your position regarding ECNL, but good luck.

Just know that it was Cony and Gavin who led the original charge out of OYSA and the creation of the OPC and OPL. These are the same people jerking everyone back to the OYSA 5 years later. Moral of the story? Don't trust these people.

Does it really matter? There was no way in hell WST was going to get ECNL. What is Cony supposed to say. ECNL is great and players should go join one of the 2 Oregon clubs who will have ECNL?

That is what the TA is asking boys to do. Why not? An honest DOC and coach should encourage top players to try out for the ECNL.

Eastside and Westside are predominately boy's clubs. 5 years ago there were no Timber's Academy. Those 2 saw how the Timber's Academy was going to pull the majority of the top HS boys. Also Gavin works for the Timbers, so who do you think he will side with?

Who runs the Timber's Academy? Who runs the ECNL?

                            Are you really that stupid?

Oh I see. So non-TA clubs should fold even though they run better programs so the TA (who is super duper BTW) can run everything. Who's the stupid one here?

                              Get a clue.

I need to get a clue, because I have no clue what you are talking about here pal.
