Dead on...all this talk about ECNL being better when we haven't been invited to participate is just a waste of time.

Get invited first. Then you can actually see how prices etc... play out. It looks pretty silly to say "in Washington they do..." Or "these other ECNL teams are great, so just by association we are as well".

Cost, tiers, being invited... these are all separate topics.

ECNL is better. Oregon has not been invited yet. Until we are and compete, we are second tier.

So where does that get you... It is truly a useless observation. Can we be better? Absolutely. But it is pretty stupid to walk around telling yourself "I am second tier...until I have this I am not good enough...

The intent to improve is great, but improvement is evolutionary, you have to cover the whole growth curve, you can't just buy ECNL and then proclaim yourself first tier.

A lot of this forum is individuals proclaiming how great they are, if you need to do this you aren't there yet, you are there when everyone recognizes you are there.

We have a few teams in Oregon that receive that recognition. For the state to move to the next tier efforts need to impact broadly not narrowly as so often happens.

You don't get it. We are not in it. That's it. Oregon. It being in the ECNL does not make the ECNL any less superior to other leagues. This isn't complicated.
