There are dozens of messages on this forum about how important it is for the kids to play against the best competition they can. Then if a team plays better players down there is about the same number of posts complaining that it's unfair. Which is it? If your kid isn't on the team that is moving players back and forth, why do you care? If it's a problem for the team or club moving players isn't it their problem to sort out?

I think if both teams are in the same division then it shouldn't be a problem. It's unethical and won't help either team develop but from a competition stand point I wouldn't care. I don't mind playing Comba twice ;)

Now if the teams are in different divisions I can see that being a big issue.

YES, i am a Samba parent, and that is exactly what happened.

Have you checked the standings lately? I noticed COPA is 6th out of 8. Not sure what your point is... Except you're an idiot.

Yet they just beat the 2nd place team. Looks like maybe JB's coaching is starting to kick in.

I don't have a player on either team but we know many of the boys from both teams. Both teams have very talented players. They are fun to watch, that is why we went to the game. However, yesterday, Copa outplayed FC. They maintained better possession, had good communication and finished shots that they should have. All in all, it was a fun game to watch.

I notice when Copa loses people are all over this forum giving reasons why. The main one seemed to be that they're unathletic. Now that they're back to winning its silent. Gotta love the haters.

You are making stuff up. Nobody said they were unathletic. If you can find that, I'd like to see it. What people were debating was if you'd rather have athletes or skill. I for one repeatedly said that you cannot teach athleticism, but you can teach skill. So give me the athletes so that I can develop skill on top of it. If you ain't athletic, you'll never be athletic.

So don't make stuff up. Go ahead and toot Copas horn all you want. They still have fallen from last year when they were supposed to be steamrolling teams this year. I like me some hood river.
