Are they consistently better than THUSC? I am not sure. They did control the ball against THUSC on Saturday. THUSC was very lucky to come out with a win on Saturday. That is all I am saying.

Well said soccer mom. Let us not forget however controlling the ball and keeping it away from the other team is a drill you run before the game. It's only valuable when it leads to putting one in the back of the net. Without that, it's like having giant balls without a pen1s.

I think that's the point. Better teams can have bad games and still manage to pull out a win. Lower level teams can have an excellent game and still lose.

There's always the occasional upset but typically the better team seems to a always find a way to pull out the victory. I'm guessing that's what happened in the THUSC game. Parents on the losing end will call it "luck".

I know my dd's team has played awful at times but still manage to win the games they're suppose to. Typically the bottom teams haven't learned how to close out a game.

All this talk and debating/fighting over FCSC who will probably end up around .500. Imagine what this board would have been like if they were contending for fall league title. In a way thank god they aren't and in a way I might have enjoyed the drama during my morning cup of coffee.

Your hard-on over FCSC is a little weird. No one had said their name or were even talking about them and then you bring them up. Did Mr. Frimpong give you a reality check about your kids lack of talent or what? Move on.

If you think no one has said their name, try reading through this thread. I think you will have a different opinion about no one saying their name. it seems 75% of G99 NPL is about FCSC . . . my only addition is when I look at the standings, why is everyone so worked up over this club?

I was reading about THUSC and Willamette and went to OPL site to see exactly what happened with that and I noticed FCSC in the middle of the pack. First thought that came to me was what would this board be like if they were in 1st or 2nd, and decided to share.

Omg I'm so sick of hearing this already. Let's keep this 100 right now. When players switch clubs pre u15 it's a clear indication of one and only one thing: a parent's expectation doesn't jive with the real world talent evaluation and usage rate of their kid. For every minuscule exception of this truism there are 10 examples to validate it. Often disguised by some other bogus issue (the coach is mean or the club is poorly run yadda yadda yadda) the bottom line is some people simply run from the truth and refuse to let their kids find success with a little tenacity and stick-to-itivness.

"My kid just needs someone to believe in them" "My kid doesn't do well if someone is too hard on them" "My kid is as good as that kid if they just had the same chance" "The coach just doesn't like my kid" "My kid doesn't play well because they are afraid to make a mistake" "The coach doesn't know how to motivate my kid" "The coach only likes certain kids" blah blah blah

Just stop with it. We've heard them all and it's code for you're a crazy ass parent who probably volunteered at the elementary school so often other parents thought you worked there.
