Pieced together? That team kicked ass! You must be one of the Valencia crazies i.e. Soccer stalker dad. Last year's team won several tournaments and had a comparable league record to this year. They won state cup, and not because of guest players they win it with the core group. You can bring in all the stars you want but heart wins games.

Yes pieced together. A whole team left and not a lot of players with previous A team experience showed up at tryouts. A squad was put together and then players from the 00's were used to fill in the gaps. I never said the team sucked. I think they did better than anyone expected. They obviously had a lot of heart.

Your state cup team consisted of two girls from the Timbers who left that team late in the year for what ever reasons and few players from Pacific, so it was not your core group. And like the previous posters pointed out it was Challenge Cup, not the top championship level.

Your above post shows not only how little you know about competitive soccer, but also that you are a pissed off parent from last years team. I am being genuine when I say that I hope you and your DD are in a better place this year. Your continued attempts to muddy this years team, and the coach are not helping you. Please move on and enjoy your DD development.

Actually not a pissed off parent but a former coach of several of the girls and came to quite a few games. I know quite a bit about competitive soccer having played through college and coached for more than 15 years. They were a good team, no real super stars and the state cup add ins did not make them any better.
