WUSC is having an unlucky year. Two of their best starting players got in a car accident, and their teams battling injuries. Would be good for them to come out on top of bend timbers ad BSC.

I guess it didn't matter in the end. Your team lost both games anyway.

Looks like all that chirping last summer by the Nemesis parents about how dominant their team was going to be was just that, chirping. Midway through the season, the OPL has separated itself into the "Big 3," the "Middle of the Pack 2," and the "Bottom 3."

Only real movement this year seems to be that rather than Zirconium and Nemesis being on the fringes of being in the top group, they are now clearly a step below. I guess that could change in the 2nd half, but that's the way it is right now.

The nemesis power parent was saying they were going to win the league and "roll through" everyone. So much for the talk. Wouldn't be so humorous if they weren't so annoying.

I'm shocked by THUSC as they did well in California supposedly...

The sky is not falling. Nemesis and Zirconium will be just fine. A difference of a goal or two is the difference between Nemesis being in the top to being one below the top.

Zirconium lost 4 players from last year's team. I don't think anybody can expect any Oregon team to lose 4 players and be just as good the following year. Even with the loss of players they are not that much worse than the top team.

The separation that you are talking about is a difference of one game. The top 3 teams are not that great and the next 2 teams are not that bad. The separation is in the bottom 3.

This is just not accurate. The separation is a difference of 2 games for Nemesis and 3 games for THUSC. Also, if you look at goal differential there is a huge difference there.

More important than goals and record, is looking how the teams are performing against one another. LO beats FC who beats Eugene who beats LO, while all 3 have beat the other teams. Nemesis and THUSC have lost all their games to those 3.

I agree with the other poster that the season is shaking down to a clear distinction of 3 top teams, 2 middle teams and 3 lower teams. (I do think that Nemesis and Zirconium are capable of beating any team on any given day)

But the season is only half over and who is more accurate about if there is a top 3 vs a top 5(?) should be answered by season end.

Don't be shocked.....I don't think it was an FCSC parent who originally bloated about our team....we have our own issues just like all teams....we just lost a couple of players....one of our best players and a "B" level player....we are still a good team....so leave it at that

The problem is, FCSC does not have a decent B team to draw players from. So once their A team starts to lose a player or two, they have no system in place for filling those gaps. You usually see this around u14 FCSC. Usually a good time to start looking elsewhere.

They use ***C and Pacific as their "B" teams.

Not really. Three players have already bolted from the B team. Sounds like things are coming unraveled there once people it out.

No one has a good B team to draw from. In general good players do not want to play on a "B" team and will opt to play elsewhere. When a good "A" team loses players they typically get players from other clubs "A" and not necesarily from their "B" team.

Spoken from a club that does not have a good B team.

That is completely false. Top B team players move up to A teams all the time... provided you have a solid B team. All the time. And in some cases, I have seen A teams improve from the previous year because of it. I repeat, all the time.

Really the last team FCSC has.

This is not what I have seen. Been with a couple of clubs and in 5 years of premier ball I have only seen a couple of players from the B team make the A team. This has been with two different large clubs. Not saying it doesn't happen, but I haven't seen very much of it here locally.
