I have not noticed that they are any more physical across the board than other teams. And this is Oregon where the refs are afraid to give a card in a girls game.

Surprisingly, it looks like Hillsboro is the leader in yellow cards.

I've been following this thread closely, and though I'm not affiliated with FCP in any way, I believe to properly troll, the phrase is "FCP...POW!"

I think "bam!" is Emeril or something.

ODP is still a thing? Who knew?

Not much of a thing anymore but one of only ways our girls compete with other states talent. I think a girl or two from Portland area also got picked for some national invite camp. It's hard not to fall for the big frog in a little pond trap. There are really only 0-3 elite girls per age group in Oregon. A team that has one or 2 of them, plus a solid rest has a major advantage.

ECNL is the way to compete out of state these days.

Except that hasn't been an option for the current u13 and under crowd

True, but you can get regional competition pretty easily. And you don't need ODP for training. Top clubs provide better training every practice session.

ECNL is growing and adding a lot of teams this year and next. Way too watered down. With the Development Academy next year it will be 2nd tier and people aren't going to be willing to spend $10,000 or more per year.

Yeah, added a lot this last year:

Tophat Soccer Club, based in Atlanta, GA
Jacksonville FC, based in Jacksonville, FL
Boca United, based in Boca Raton, FL

                        Not.

The GDA isn't even a thing and if it becomes one, we will see about the costs.

Four more to be added in Seattle. Are we getting more teams in Portland?

It was already watered down this year. Ugh.

Oh no, are the 2002 parents from the 2001 thread leaking over to this thread for the birth year change? Train wreck a coming! They are nuts.

                              Have fun with them!

Maybe to make ECNL cheaper they can just play in OYSA and then take a trip to Vegas and play in the Silver division. Talk about watered down.
