Go see for yourself. There is an observation/kick around tonight at 53rd street fields for 02 and 03 girls. I can't recall the time but it is on the hsc website.

The migration away from ecnl has begun. Super expensive and will be 2nd tier next year per US Soccer.

That's a good one. The 02's are probably heading to ECNL but that's only 2-3 kids the majority of the team is staying with HSC and together, talk is THUSC "star", Eugenes "two best" and possibly a few other top talents from around the region will be at tryouts as well

Sure they will. Trying out for what, a 2nd tier team at a 5th tier club? Nobody bothers doing that.

My DD did ecnl this year, but won't again because experience wasn't all that positive, a negative coach took most of the fun out of playing. Superior talent to any other Oregon team, but because of inferior coaching and a lack of communication and guidance, results were poor. No team unity or cohesion. MG is set to coach the FCP 01s again this year, so my daughter will stay away. From what I hear others are as well, 01s only had 10 at last week's tryouts. Word is out on him. Ask around before you sign your DD up.

It's amazing the crazy things parents will do if they think it'll get their precious Mallory closer to the USWNT. Doesn't have to be true, they just need to think it's true.

HSC assistant probably recruiting. He talked to one of our players right after a state cup game last season

of course they're recruiting. that's what MJ does. (i know you said the assistant, but same goal.) also, that's how good teams are built. ALL of the talent, in the state, plus you know about five makeweights to fill out the roster, need to coalesce to ONE team. *cough* one team ecnl *cough*

The purported father of the Thusc star has gone on record that she is not leaving and they are set to be a pretty good ECNL team with an influx of selenium girls to augment the 03s. There is only one girl worth mentioning in Eugene, but who would subject their kid to that commute to play in state soccer. The Salem connection sounds a lot more realistic.

Sorry your DD rode the pine and played for the OYSA team most of the time. Works out that way some times. There is a ton of 01 girls even from within FC that haven't been out to the ECNL tryouts yet due to other obligations. Not to mention it sounds like half of the CU G01 team from this year is making the move to FC.
