Seriously though these are 8th graders we are talking about. We've had at least 4 years of club soccer to figure out who the prime donna players with the nutso parents are. Four lonnnnggg years of Vantucky dad bellowing on the sidelines while his daughter smacks her gum and curses out opponents. Four years of FC mom and Eastside dad's icky sexual tension in their passive aggressive posts to and about each other on the 01 feed. Four years of Eastside thugball and listening to CFC parents scream to boot it to superstar. We are SO glad they are your headache now.

Those 3 will show much better vs CA & WA 2002s than they could vs CA & WA 2001s. Their 2002 teams can always play up in 2001 bracket in OYSA. ECNL will do fine to stay on 2002 birth year since their league games are out of state.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostSure they will. The current '00 teams are weak across OYSA. Next year's 2001s will all benefit from an influx of a handful or more of good 2001s from current '01 teams. The old '00 teams will be much different and, in many cases, much improved next year when they are grouped as the new 2001s.

Our star team is girls '99s & is coached by the DOC. With ECNL pulling so many top players and not playing OYSA, they will do fine playing up in OYSA. They will cease to be able to compete out of state, FWRL, NWCL, etc. but would rather keep the team together. One player has already made a verbal to UO. The players who make verbals before birth year starts will do just fine.
