No matter how you spell it, you can buy a lot of toilet paper for what it cost's for ECNL and your money would be better spent. I say over the front, it's hard to grab when it goes off the back

FCP, THUSC, Crossfire, TT, WT, FC, ODP, ECNL...........Whatever! The real question is should TP hang off the front or back of the Roll
I think it's a washington thing to have the toilet paper hang off the back of the roll

Yes I understand that. But ECNL has and well suck a few more of the best players to each ECNL team. After, starting with a core group that won fall league. Then start practicing 3/4 times a week. ODP will get the left overs and practice together once a week for a couple of months. It's day and night. Don't effing kid yourself.

I don't think I am kidding myself. All these kids may end up on the same club team. Maybe at the same high school or college. They may practice together every day. I can't tell the future. What I can say is that they are currently among the best whatever the patch on their club kit looks like. Titles and money don't make the player. Athleticism, work ethic, and dedication do. Switching clubs does not make one instantly better or worse.

You don't have to pay it upfront. Break it up monthly and it's manageable.

Parent travel really is the kicker.

Be that as it may, There will be a lot of quality players that will never be able to afford ECNL Parent travel or not. The US needs to take a better look at how Europe has been developing Youth players. The focus at this age shouldn't even be about top teams and competition. It should be about player development.

Very true. A Timbers patch won't make them better or your dd's current teams would be amazing.

However, practicing with, playing against some of the better players in Oregon four days a week will begin the process of making them better. Later, after months of practice like that, matched with matches against some of the better players from up and down the west coast they will be better. That involves travel and travel costs money.

Playing Div 2 in Oregon is competitive soccer that's fun. Stay there and feel superior.

In US rich kids will always have different opportunities regardless of inate talent levels.

                      Parents don't have to travel.

Just imagine what our childrens education would look like if we as parents spent the same amount of time, money and energy on our children's education vs. sports.

The return on investment is a small chance of a college scholarship and then an even smaller chance of playing professionally where the average nwsl players earn $6-$30k a year.

Better chance of kids getting academic scholarships vs. athletic.

Agreed, When the cost of a sport hits 10,000 for a 13 year old. Your Wasting your money! It would be better spent with your local top club of choice and doing private lesson's. You could also have a Limo drive your daughter to practices and take extra academic classes. And still have a little leftover each year to go towards college
