Yes, I'm positive girls from across the metro area will be flocking to Fcp to play 3rd Div, happens every time!

Thx but I'd rather have my dd play 3rd team at thusc, it looks like they have a stronger team. This should be an interesting team to watch in ecnl.

Funny, then why are the FCP U11s are "developing" in Gold? Sorry at U12 if you had some decent athletes in this age group, they would be developed enough to be able to compete at the Premier level. Take off the rose colored glasses, it's ok to admit that this age group is a mess.

They'll be fine if some of the girls that ARE being developed at other clubs decide to come over, but being mid pack in 3rd Div, I'd say this is a long shot.

They'll pick up a few underdeveloped athletic types from the Timbers clubs this spring, always do. Then they'll work on getting those girls up to speed with actual ball control, passing, etc and break them of their bad bootball habits. Takes time, but by U14 they'll be just fine. Not to mention the new age groupings in the spring even things out nicely.

BTW, if those Timbers girls are being so well developed at their club, why would they even consider leaving? Nobody seems to every want to answer that question. Maybe because they are afraid to admit something to themselves...

The highest demand is the U9 girls coaching gigs. Clubs have to have a lottery to decided who gets to coach.

Keep taking cracks at the Timbers but it's EVERY club that's ahead of FCP these days at this age. BSC, PCU, NEU, LO, WU, SSC, Pac FC, Azul, for god sakes even CUSC (didn't even know that Clack United was still around), so you better expand your insults to include them. Even 2nd teams playing ahead ahead of you.

To answer your question, prior to last year, no one would have left their club to join a 3rd Div rec team, they leave their clubs and teammates to climb up the ladder, not down. FCP has never had Navy teams playing in 3rd Division in the past, they have always had winners, this is why players came to the club, so this shows you how things are slipping. Now, however, FCP might be able to lure some average girls (with money to burn) over to this team because of the ecnl brand, however, the best players looking to move to an ecnl club, will choose CU since they already have a strong team and just need to make some minor tweaks. It appears that FCP will be building this one from the ground up and that's a big undertaking at U14.
