Last planet is a decent concept but it's highly flawed as a measurement for any more than a two month window.
Read up on it. Study how it rates teams and you will see.
It's also a rating system by a FC Portland dad.
Nobody uses it to seed tournaments I don't think.
Real and perceived prejudices are important. Look at the history of internal polling for political campaigns. Of course in that realm, tens of millions of dollars hang in the balance which adds a whole higher level of complexity.
Their methodology always seemed reasonable to me and providing data for placing teams appropriately is a worthy endeavor.
Do wish it were updated more frequently, but understand it is done as a "hobby" . . . not sure what club the provider is with is relevant unless the methodology is being inconsistently applied or is designed to favor one club over another (and instead of blanket statements that it is a "___ dad" why not point out how the methodology favors that club).

Agree!
Show me a more accurate (when updated) source and I will gladly change my mind.
The data compiled is the same for all the teams, and it is a complete list of all the games played officially, so not really a lot of prejudice to it, other than his dd must be a G01/u14 player and those stats are first to be kept current.
I'm high jacking this thread, New topic! When replacing a roll of toilet paper should the toilet paper dispense from the front or back of the roll. This is serious business!

THUSC parents don't use toile paper, they use corncobs or, in a pinch, "old hickory" (holds thumb up).
For all those helicopter parents that have to watch every minute little suzie rides the pine during their Eastside B versus W*TF green match. Just crap your pants.
CFC is not what they used to be. Sorry dad. Let me guess. CFC was down 2 late in the game. Other team sat in and they scored a garbage goal at the end. Now you are claiming domination. If that's domination, what's the word for what HSC and PacNW did to CFC? A draw? I guess if you are comparing it to back-to-back 5-0 losses, CFC dominated.

Actually CFC controlled the game, other than finishing, they had chance after chance and ***C barely hard the ball at all, possession was probably close to 75% CFC.

But you didn't answer my question. Am I to believe that CFC dominated a team in FWRL? They appear to have played the same competition including each other. This same team drew with 2 teams that beat CFC 5-0 the same weekend. Granted this team that CFC dominated has lost one game out of 5. This game was to the one team in 5 that CFC has beaten. Is it more likely that they dominated, or more likely that your bias is clouding your opinion of domination. As I said, this is not 2013. CFC doesn't dominate teams anymore, quite the opposite.
