Have you seen her play? Might want to watch and you will get it.

I know of one that made the pools at this age and she's 17 now without an offer. Tough to peak at age 15.

Making the Regional Team is very rare for any Oregon girl and a huge accomplishment. Actually means a ton - at least to college recruiters and U.S. Soccer staff, perhaps not to you.

Well, I would argue there are at least 9 who "make it" for every one that made the regional team/national pools at u14 and went downhill from there. While this might be the top of her soccer stardom, the odds are actually in her favor that this is just the beginning of future success.

Not really. She'll be a sophomore when she's 15 and will likely already have a verbal.

So what's your point? I don't think anyone on here is claiming that if you make a U13 Regional team you are guaranteed a D1 scholarship and a place on the WNT! But it's a good start, so good for her, enjoy it and have fun.

Sorry you peaked at 15 and are now just a sad loser wanna be who craps on 13 year old's accomplishments. pathetic.

Some kids peak at 12. Oh well. I hear she likes to play bball too. Maybe that'll work out instead.

Must be tough on you that your daughters will never get as far as a U.S. Regional team - no matter when they peak in their lifetime. Sad to live life so bitter.

Nope. Didn't happen. No verbal. No offer. No soup for you.

Shouldn't you already have most the great players in the area because of the training prior to that? or are you saying other clubs are training there kids to be better than the ones arleady within your club so they take all their spots.
Not sure why you find it "confusing". The ECNL clubs do a great job of developing their kids to their full potential as soccer players. Just that some kids potential is a lot higher than others.

The "confusing" part is why do all of these kids from so-called "great" Timbers Alliance clubs leave there after 2-3 years and flock to FC/THUSC/Xfire? And why do you never see any kids move in the opposite direction. Think about that for a while if you're still "confused".

She's not on a "U.S. Regional" team. She was selected to the USYS Region IV regional roster. That's 1/4 of USYS, which doesn't include all of the US Soccer, US Club PDP/iD2 and ECNL stuff going on out there that are at that same level or higher. Once you realize that USYS ODP is a shadow of what it once was, and that it's only considered important by those participating in it (about 20% of top Oregon players), then you'll understand why most are saying "Nothing to see here."

If you think only 20% of the top 2002s went out for ODP, then you are mistaken.

If she is so far down on the list of top 2002 players in Oregon, I'm sure we will see at least several of those other mysterious top girls on the u14 National Team roster.

Face it, she s the best we've got at this age group - at least at this time. Oregon should be proud that we at least have her!
