Right now encl is getting a fraction of the best players. 40% maybe.
People are figuring out its a marketing gimmick.

        Sums it up.

Keep telling yourself it's all about state cup and that local tourney. It's pretty easy to bury your head in the sand.

Lol....those same players that are mentioned would be going to those schools anyways... They didn't need ecnl to do it. The same quality players are taking the same spots that have been around for decades...ECNL has nothing to do with this. These types of articles are quite amusing.

There are 12000 college spots open each year. You do not need ecnl to get a good education

You have never needed to do anything but play if you are good enough to play college. Contact coaches of schools you want to go to and then go to showcases were they will be.

The general exposure you get on the generic encl stuff is like going to a bar to meet the love of your life. Why not just go to places that better fit what you want.

Why waste a bunch of money? If your daughter is good, she should pick where she wants to go. Not trolling around and hoping some college coach will pick her.

The very top ayers don't need Ecnl. It's the solid but not super elite players who benefit most from Ecnl.

                Players not "ayers".

Other than the fact it made me laugh, this is decent advice.

What is the percentage of ECNL players that don't play D1?

The main issue is that people think it's the "system" or "machine" that gets their child into college when in reality it's about your DD getting off her arse and doing some persistent work.

                          Our society raises pu$$ies

It isn't the ECNL league that gets these girls the offers (or numerous looks) it is the strong girls programs at the clubs that play in the ECNL league. Thusc and FC will always send more girls to college than any of the other clubs in Oregon.

Thinking clearly isn't a strength of yours....

Yes, those girls would be playing in college with or without ECNL. However, more and more top players are playing in the ECNL. It is consolidating top players and teams. So if you're interested in playing the against top teams and players you play in the ECNL. That's not to say they have all the top teams and players. However they have the highest concentration. It also doesn't say the only path to college is through ECNL. Let's throw in the womens national team as well.

It's basic thinking and reason. Hate ECNL all you want. Don't participate if you don't want. It doesn't change the facts. Your boo hoo about those players playing in college without ECNL is meaningless because they DID play in the ECNL.
