How does nwcl qualifying happen at this age division?

I thought it was state cup champs and fall league champs?

How did fc pdx and fc salmon creek get in there? Neither of those teams were previously qualified nor were they league or state cup winners?

They have ties with the soccer mafia.

Seems that some of the teams that qualified through OPL fall league chose not to participate. So the spots were offered to the next in line. Pretty standard procedure. State Cup championships have nothing to do with it.

NWLC is a US Club Soccer league. Of course preference is given to teams from US Club leagues like OPL. If you don't like it, go play FWRL.

Lol I love the new 12/13 year old girls threads. It gets passed down year to year. I only hope for close scores and even teams because the trash talk gets more and better.

It truly does, doesn't it? When in doubt, they all yell "scoreboard". They also rely on the term "boot ball" a lot as well. And say that teams only win because they rely on the "fast forward" and the rest of the team isn't any good, control the "fast forward" and you control the team. Year in, year out, some things never change.

OPL leadership was very unhelpful to OYSA teams who had qualified. I emailed Angela a few times with very routine questions about NWCL (we qualified). I got one reply: "Sorry, can't help you."

I finally had to email the guy from Washington to get my team registered. I was left with the impression that Angela and OPL were waiting and hoping TA teams would miss a deadline so they could be replaced. Which makes sense considering in our age bracket the OPL state cup champion didn't even qualify for NWCL.

Sorry that the truth hurts. We earned the spot in NWCL and are looking forward to competing. It would have been nice to have the professional support expected from the person whose email address is listed on the NWCL website as the contact person for questions. The girls who earned the right to play in NWCL don't care about some stupid pi$$ing contest between OPL and OYSA. I expected better support from a professional and didn't get it. Period end of story.

Just wanted to say Congrats to the Washing Timbers girls for going 3-0 in group play down in california and the Juventus cup. Good luck in the semi's/finals.
