Been involved twice, both teams won State and went.

Some teams win State and don't really apply cause coach and doc elect not to go and get punished. Level of play is very high and most Oregon teams do poorly. Alot of Money and time put to this cause. So if you were a State champ and didn't go this may be why.

CALSOUTH Sweeps ODP Youth Soccer Article:

January 13, 2014 (Phoenix, AZ) - Cal South ODP teams won all ten titles this weekend at the 2014 US Youth Soccer ODP Region IV Championships at the Reach 11 Sports Complex in Phoenix, Arizona. The sweep marked the first time that the feat had been accomplished in the event's history.

The Cal South Pro+ program sent ten teams to the competition, held from January 9-12, with the intent of matching or topping their success from last year's regional competition in Las Vegas, when they walked away with nine of the ten trophies. Also playing into Cal South's motivation was the energy from last March when all four of its teams swept the 2013 US Youth Soccer ODP Championships, another record-setting performance.

All ten Cal South teams, in the 1997 through 2001 age groups, made it through two days of preliminary matches without suffering a single loss in group play, and then followed that with equally strong play in the semi-finals. In the finals, Cal South outscored their opponents overall 28-2, with eight of the ten victories ending in shutouts.
