they deserve this place in NPL division. Right now its ***C and Westside and then everyone else is pretty even. would I be shocked if the top 2 lose a game to the rest of the division, of course not. It could happen tomorrow, but its clear what the pecking order is right now.

As girls mature this will change. The teams with smaller girls will grow and get faster and
then size will equal out. Eastside and Thusc have the smaller girls for the majority of the four teams in NWCL. If you have watched THUSC and Eastside play , they do not have the size to barrell the ball down field but, they are moving the ball pretty good around field and trying to find open space and not just constant through balls to the fast front line.
Soccer at this age is not about one season but, several to develop the player. By U13 I don't think you will see the same two teams on top.

If you pay close attention, Eastside and Thusc do not have the size yet (girls will grow) but, they move the ball around the field, finding space better then ***C and TS. The bigger teams rely on the bigger stronger midfield and forwards but, they do not move the ball around as much or as quickly. What I have noted is they tend to rely A LOT on the through ball pass to the forward for the goals. Now, that is not a bad thing but, as you get older and kids start to equal out in size then the team moving the ball around quickly, one touch, making good decision when to pass or not will do better.
I think once the girls get to U13 you will see the pecking order change.

They are doing fine. But they are not moving the ball around superior to other teams. They have pockets of good soccer just like ***C and TS. In fact, I honestly think that TS/***C move the ball around better. JMHO but it's what I see. Sure, it is possible that ET and THUSC gain some players, or who knows, maybe they will overcome other teams in size and speed as they age. But don't take away from other team's success... you are convincing no one.

Moving the ball around Thusc and Eastside do a better job. What both these team lack is a strong fast forward to finish but at this time. I bet TS and ***C coaches take statistics and that should tell you how most goals are scored and by whom. The few times I have watched both TS and ***C it appears same forwards and same type of goal by through ball/break aways.
Just what I observed but, time will tell. I DO think the pecking order will change as girls mature.

I have been reading these posts about ***C and was looking forward to the game today since it was going to be the first time I got to watch them play. If they play like that all the time, I really don't understand the comments. They consistently put together passes, played very good through balls to their outside mids, and put in good crosses to each other. Yes they have 2 very very fast forwards, but it wasn't like they were just booting the ball. They were looking for those forwards, but who wouldn't with that speed. But overall they were a very good passing team against us today.

After two weeks of league, its almost to be as expected.
One surprise to me is how Westside Copa has played so far. They had some very good wins during the summer, but have really struggled thus far. VFC is about what i expected.
Some wondered how FCSC would do considering they have 2 wins against the bottom teams, well they got handled by westside TS and ***C by a total of 9 goals.
Thusc is a bit of a surprise to me, but apparnetly Eastside is primed to take that 3rd spot at this point.

To the ***C and TS parents read with open mind then ask yourself if the description of direct soccer is your teams.

When you watch don't judge based on goals made but look at sequence of passess are being made, if all the players are involved in play, you will see a difference in the teams.

Keep in mind which team is taking time to try to penetrate field other by using all the field/players.
