Looking at this age and NWCL this weekend could be ugly. HOWEVER, the Oregon teams have one advantage for this age group. Washington still play 9v9 for this age group so its possible the Seattle teams will struggle with 11v11. So its possible we could get better results than expected.

However, if they are used to 11v11 then we are in trouble. If I had to rank the Washington teams in NWCL this is how I would rank them:

    1. Crossfire
    2. Eastside
    3. Seattle United
    4. NWN
    5. WPFC
    6. Washington Rush

Just an idea when you play them where they rank out.

However, I still can't say ***C is in the group with everyone else when they have gone 5 tournaments with no loses against anyone else besides TS (and that includes playing U12 gold this last weekend).
Seen them play in Chinook Cup. Very average team. They got extremely lucky against Eastside in a game they did not deserve to win.

They found a way to come back in that game against a top 4 team in the state. I don't get all the hate towards them calling them "average". They have gone undefeated this entire year (minus 2 losses against the top team in the state) and they get called "average". Not sure what else they have to do to prove themselves.

***C is a solid team that will give WT Copa the most trouble this coming up season.

People are allowed to have the opinion that the team is average, but I think that person is here just to push buttons or has little knowledge about the U11 age group.

Why didn't the 3 girls that are playing up on the ***C U12 team stay on age this year? Would they improve the U11 team or is it strong enough already?

In my opinion 2 of the 3 players would improve this team. We will see in the future if they come down on age or not.

In the end its tiring arguing with people that just want to hate. I guess i'll stop for now.

The more successful a team is, the more the haters chase it around. Take it as a compliment...

If you are going to boast about how great your team is ***c then you'd better have a thick skin. Plus you talk like you know it all. I doubt there are many clubs who don't have players that playing up, who if they came back down would make a team better, or missing players over the summer, or who say they are working development. I have seen just about all the U11 teams play and most of the TA(I include CFC in this) clubs are playing very direct soccer right now(long balls to big or athletic fwds, notice I didn't say bootball? Bootaball is kicking the ball down the field with no purpose or plan, and its clear there is a plan to these teams style). While FC PDX and THUSC are coaching their defense and possession, giving up wins in the summer and maybe even the fall for long term development(SSC and LO are trying to coach this way also they just don't have the players to see andy type of long term success). Listen to the coaches WST, WSTts, CFC, ***c coaches are all coaching the attack, playing the ball long to a speedy fwd. THUSC and FC PDX are coaching defense and passing out of the back and wide on the ground.

So yes while your ranking now may be accurate because big, fast and direct wins today and maybe from time to time in the future, but over the long run not so much. Rarely have any of those TA clubs sustained success beyond U12 for girls. THUSC, FCPDX, and sometimes LO/SSC/OSSA(Now known as Corssfire) are the ones that consistently have success over the long run. So enjoy your wins now TA.

And the reality of it all is that it really doesn't matter much because at the end of the day, For all but a hand full of these girls, it is about the friends they are playing with and not the competition. Not to say they won't want to win, but in a couple of years they will talk about the friends on their teams, and the funny things that happen before and after games or practice. Oh there will be games and tournaments they remember or players and teams they don't like to play against, but in the end they are playing a great game they can play for the rest of their lives anywhere in the world. So sit back and try not to miss too much, it will be done before you know it.

I appreciate your comment, and I wasn't trying to say ***C was the greatest, I just didn't understand calling them average. Right now as you said the rankings are what they are (which was the point of this thread). I do also agree many of the teams are very direct right now.

Well said. Anyone who's been around youth soccer knows this is very true.
