FC Portland 2001 ECNL took a chance playing in OYSA and finished fourth place. They were also 0-3 in state cups. But a mom from that team still thinks they are the best.

I have watched them play. Some good players for sure. But they boot it up top all the time. Midfield play is pretty ugly. Im not a caveman. Im not an idiot. Just telling the truth. No need to insult others for telling the truth. Maybe FCP should look at tape and learn from it.

FC strength is center of backline and forwards. Midfield is not great. So boot from center to forward is the play. They know what they have and they play to the strength.

If you don't like the style they play, I suggest you beat them.

Depends on the game. They take what the other team gives. Sometimes it is possession with purpose. Sometimes it is play to the holding forward and lay off. Sometimes it is kick it over the top of a high line when you know the back line is not fast.

That gets the wins young. Then you bring in players developed at other clubs.

Too bad those players don't get developed before they join FC. Takes a year or two for FC to retrain most of the new recruits before they can start to play something that actually looks like good soccer. And the smart parents know this too. That's why they move their kids out of the Timbers clubs as soon as they realize that thugball bootball and Alliance patches aren't teaching their kids anything.

And the smart parents know this too. That's why they move their kids out of the FCP as soon as they realize that thugball bootball and encl patches aren't teaching their kids anything.

FCP plays to win, their role players don't have much skill but they can take orders. TS plays to win (sometimes quite dirty in the process) and certainly with the most bootball. Eastside makes the most of what they have but only gets results when other teams are working on formations and player adjustments but they are decent competition. TT has technical ability but not the killer instinct...or perhaps they found it recently given their showings against FCP. THUSC and WashT are 6 strong and they fight like hell but don't have the horses. - Thank you for asking my opinion, I believe TS will repeat as State Champions and they'll have 5 yellow cards along the way.
