My opinion - it's your team that is unique. Most players who have desire to get better won't stay on a team or with a coach with a 5 year run histoy of same pecking order. That's like staying at a dead end job with no chance for promotion.
There is a player who left a team (not considered a star player) for a middle of road team and guess what, just heard made RTC. Sometimes not all about genetics, sometimes more circumstances.

In any case, I really don't agree with you anyway. I don't particularly believe ET or THUSC are better at possession at all. They are fine. But not better. That's where I have a problem - you seem to want to believe so bad that your DD's team is somehow working on 'the more important' things and will somehow propel them to the top in a couple years. I think you are blinded by what you want to believe.

And spare us the job analogy. It doesn't work.

It's good to believe in fairy tales. I think those who do change this world. 'I have a dream..." remember. I'm sure he was told his has a fairy tale too.

Why do coaches have no balls to stand up and say this is what I am paid to do, and if you don't like it go some where else? Why doesn't the DOC stand up to crazy parent and say I hired coach, I trust coach, leave if you don't like it. Is there a club like that? Cause I sure am not seeing that where I am at.
This is exactly what is happening at our club, mom goes and complains, first the coach, then she was told to stop, then the DOC, gets some leeway so now she runs with it, if her DD who is tiny and weak and plays a lot better when mom is not watching the game, doesn't start the game, doesn't get to play a majority of the game, she freaks! Why is that ok?
who will take a stand and stop this? Let the coaches coach!

RTC, for those who don't know, is NOT that difficult to make. I've seen some really mediocre players make RTC. So for anyone who thinks that making RTC is a vindication, then you really have not experienced RTC.

Westside TS 3 ***C 0
Overall a good game. I would say 2 of the goals were on the keeper, so it was much closer than the score shows. Westside TS was the better team in the first half, ***C was slightly better second half, creating many good chances. Overall a pretty enjoyable game to watch that was up tempo.

There is no way you could call that a possession type team or game. There were more boot balls then wst parents screaming for it which is usual.

Is not really a question if the players are good enough to play possession soccer as all the ***C girls seemed to have good skills like TS but, I think it's more about if club and coach good enough to teach it.
That is why after a few years you see clubs like WTS, Thusc, Portland FC always end of having the dominate girls teams at older levels.

I would say that possession oriented teams at u11 is probably the worst indicator of coaching as one coach is trying to make the finished product while the other is focusing on the individual player to prepare for a tactical progression shift by u14. Is there any wonder why the best academy in the world Ajax from holland focuses 80% on the technical side and small sided components until u13 where players are more capable of understanding more than 2-3 players in their game during and away from the play.
It's very much like telling students at 10 years old to do things in 11 student groups instead of teaching the kids to be strong individually. What you get is few succeeding, many compartmentalized, and another group failing.
I'm sure that means little to you as you are only at the point where you think clubs like thusc and fc actually develop the players they have at u17.
