So FCP is the best team in Oregon at U13?

Clearly. They would roll TT playing 2 girls short. Not that it matters. It's not about teams. Teams don't get recruited to college or USWNT. What matters is that the top players are getting substantially better. And that doesn't happen at Timbers clubs. That's why the huge influx of girls again this year to Xfire/FCP/THUSC. Just watch when the OYSA Winter League schedules come out. Most of the teams in GU15 and up will be from those 3 clubs.

The pre encl teams would never allow a friendly vs the odp state team. They would lose and it would wreak havoc with the marketing of their ultra-expensive program.

So they don't scrimmage themselves at training? Face it, Timbers clown, ODP in Oregon is at it's lowest point in history. The top 10% don't participate anymore. ODP pools are overflowing with B and C team players from sub-par Timbers clubs, those same clubs that can't develop enough players to even field teams after middle school.

It is difficult to argue with uneducated individuals. Let me explain logic 101. You are using fallacies in your argument. Here are a couple.
1. Begging the question. It is an assumption of your own opinion as fact. Example: ECNL players are good. Timbers players do not play ECNL. Since Timbers players do not play ECNL, they cannot be good.
2. Fallacy of division. Assuming that the individuals are the same as the whole team. Example: FCP finished first. Therefore, every player on FCP must be better than every other player in the league.

In layman's terms, if your argument held true, then the last guy on Portland's bench is better than Giovinco.
My DD may play ECNL next year. I hope you are not representative of the parents I would be associating with. I assumed a much higher level of education. I may have to rethink my decision.

ODP state team is rec at best. They are going to get their clocks cleaned in Phoenix. Always have, always will. B teamers can't expect anything more.

There is no decision to be made. If your DD is truly top level then the ONLY option in Oregon is ECNL. The ONLY one.

Maybe Timbers should try to get into ECNL so they could "show how good they are". Oops. Tried that 3 years ago and got turned down flatter than a pancake. Put all 7 Timbers clubs + Thorns Academy together and you still don't have a track record of success beyond OYSA 3rd division.

Timbers teams have never really played soccer before anyway so this really isn't a change for them.
