WOW! My dd has three years of H.S. and 7 years of club soccer under her belt. There have been maybe 3 yellow cards total for her or her team mates in that time. But then FC doesn't teach that crap. It's all about learning skills.

I have to disagree with you. When my son was shopping for clubs, the FC team was very physical and played ugly soccer. We heard from a friend that went to practice that they spent at least a half hour teaching how to foul. Not kidding, it depends on the team and coach but that was their strategy. We went to a different club. Played them many times, always lots of injuries. Not that our club did not foul, but that was not their whole strategy. Oh, and guess who won, at least in state many years?

Why is someone posting about college in a 02 thread? You thinking 02s get college offers there sport? And if you are talking about 2016s, it's already been shown how many got offers. It's more than FCP. Sure hope you aren't counting those FCP to UP offers.

Very typical Sherwood team, they usually have a couple girls that can play, the rest are not super skilled but big and athletic, they challenge hard for every ball and are not afraid to foul. I have a U15 dd and that Ts team played the same game. The best are the parents on the sidelines that cheer for the hard fouls, it's a football town, so that's the mentality. The big girls start to get slower and the lack of skill catches up to them and the tables start to turn in HS.

This was me and I'm not an FCP parent, my dd played oysa, not opl, that's why we played TS.

He tried to recruit her to FC about 4 times. I know what he thinks of her. He hinted about UP, but she had no interest in staying in Portland. Sorry your daughter will never have the same choices as her. But hey, dropping out and joining band will be fulfilling.

I really dont think being recruited to FC is even notable anymore. They take anyone with a checkbook.....

Is UP really a place where top players want to play anymore? Been awhile since they've had a good season, and this year they are 3W 6L and 1T, not exactly a stellar start.
