from what I heard, they have the whole Legends team minus 2-3, seems to me that they should retain their spot vs. beating up teams in Silver.

pretty much. most of their games end in 7-0 6-0 5-0 3-0 even a few 12-0 type scores not in their favor

Bend is no good, not a premier team at all, not worth the time and travel to play a game that does nothing for development.

Quality won't matter. TA used the pitch of "equal travel" to bring all the remote clubs on board and away from OPL. They can't go back on their word now and lower level teams will pitch a fit if they have to travel. Hence, you'll be seeing all the remote clubs in "Premier".

And really what does Gold and silver mean? why didn't they just call it Premier and Champion or what ever it's been in the past for the top and second level?

and who is LOSC 02 Fusion? the team that use to be the defeeters?
Gold was based on the top 6 teams in Fall '14 from OYSA plus the top two in OPL. This initially placed Bend in Silver (8th place in the fall). When BSC 02G Legends (who were 2nd in the fall by the way) moved to HSC, the league didn't want to allow them to retain their status, so they demoted Legends and moved Bend up.
And yes LOSC 02 Fusion is the Defeeters basically.

Exactly right. The whole team moved minus just 2. The League claims it was all about balanced, fair brackets. It's not fair competition to have Legends beating up on teams in Silver. That isn't good for anyone.

For USYS national league there are rules. A team must retain 9 members from its roster to be the same teasm. Tiki Taka has like 13 or 14 from its original roster. But OYSA does its own thing, especially if its good for a TA team like Bend, even though they've hardly ever won a game in the last two years at Premier.

Demotion seems like a nice deterrent from moving whole teams from club to club.

The question is what is best for player development overall. Putting good players in a lower division than they should be or properly placing them for best competition? How you answer the question depends on whether you are more interested in rules and wins/losses or player development.

Is the development of just 18 12 year old girls in Oregon for one season really that important? So they play silver for one fall season and then move to the top division in the spring. Is it really a big deal. If your team does not want to get beat up by them just forfeit the game.

Does this team play out of the back correctly?
I would assume not....silver bracket gives them the opportunity to do this

Eugene asked out of Premier. Don't want to be challenged,I guess. Opens up a spot for Tiki Taka. Not nice to the Silver teams to get crushed by aka Legends. Plus, gives poor Eugene a good chance to run the table in Silver.

That spot was given to Rogue Valley

Good for Rogue Valley stepping up but if I were a Silver team, I'd be pissed. Should be about the kids.
