ODP isn't what it used to be. Still might be worth it to some but toss up or not worth it for others. Most better OR players will now do ECNL or Thorns Academy (also id2, etc) so plenty of opportunities to be seen. RTC level at least has questionable coaches & politics/favoritism galore. Definitely not a "must do" anymore.

I am curious at what point this changed? If you look thru the Bio's of the class of 15 who were given offers from colleges most of them have RTC/ODP listed. And why this changed? Or is it just another case of the anti timbers club hating on everything with the timbers name associated with it? My kid did not participate (didn't even try out) last year, but several from our team did and I saw great improvement in them over the year and all of their parents raved about the training and attributed the important to RTC trainings.

Many reasons. More offerings like id2& pdp. RTC/ODP started taking anyone at the area level. Last year we had 40 kids and one coach (true top players can certainly often had to cotrainly make better use of their time), the Timbers taking over and many non Timbers top players not doing it, some top players seeing it wasn't as good & playing basketball instead, the quality of the coach (tho I don't know how they expect a quality product w/40 kids-thought our coach was great but only so much they can do), now ECNL is here pulling even more top players away. Still, it's one more soccer thing your kid can do & many will still benefit. It's simply not the best 18 players in the state anymore. Partake or not, buyers choice.

Too bad, that was a well coached and talented team. Just when Bsc was starting to not be a training table for other clubs, they blow up their best team.

BSC loses top players by U14 at the latest. Good local neighborhood club but nothing special

The same 3 destination clubs where all top players go - FCP, THUSC, Crossfire. Been that way for a long time and not about to change any time soon.
