It was a game of some great boot ball. FCP had to switch from the possession game they normally play to boot with the best of them, TS-style. TS parents and "coaches" (never seen 3 "coaches" on the sideline before) didn't disappoint with their usual classy behavior.

FC was playing a graceful European based possession game. Completely ruined by the opponent. Had to shift mid game to ugly boot ball. Awful. Looked lost not knowing what to do.

Hope no teams in future pull that garbage.

I think the Japanese coach was saying this very same thing after the women's world cup game a few weeks ago.

We watched the end of the FCP-Bend game while waiting for our game on Sunday and I thought the FCP parents were pretty classless. Up by 3 or 4 goals and dominating every aspect of the game, while the parents howl about every perceived missed call and shout at their girls to score more goals. Talented group of girls but act like you've been there before.

Maybe Bend should do something about their player development so they can keep up.

Why the expectation that FCP parents show more class than, say, Eastside parents? Are you saying that FCP parents are part of a "higher" class in society?

Regardless of parents' behavior, you might want to know the context for the game- FCP had to win by 3 goals in order to advance to the finals. They were by no means running up the score. Again, not an excuse for parental behavior but the team was doing what it had to do.

When your kid gets older they will tell you how much they disliked the parents coaching and screaming from the sidelines. They like the cheering but not the rest.

Expectation is that all parents, regardless of their club, act in a respectful manner and demonstrate some class. Problem is, every club has some classy parents and some that need work. This includes, FCP, Eastside, THUSC, ****, CFC, SCFC......etc. We've played you all and we're not perfect either. Those with class should work on those without class. It's amazing what happens when all of the classy parents remove themselves from the classless person on the sidelines.
