You either don't think much or don't know the players at G01. 80% or more of the best players in the Portland metro area are playing on one of the two ECNL teams. The rest are so scattered that there are really no "premier" level G01 teams left in Portland metro except for the ECNL teams.

But 80% of the 01 top talent was not in the Portland metro area

That's a complete falsehood and weak marketing.

At 01 about a third of the best players in the state are playing in the encl league.

The FC Portland team was mid pack oysa. 4-5th in the state.

Yes there good players on FC and cu but it's just a fraction of the best players.

I'd say about 70-75% of top G01s are playing ECNL. There are a handful at the outlying clubs but only enough to make up about 25%. On the plus side for those outlying teams: now they can smoke everyone in league and feel like they are king of the hill & can berate ECNL players for spending lots of money to get beaten by tougher ECNL teams. Pros & cons to both. All the players will be fine, regardless of which path.

30-40% of top players at 01 play in the encl league. It's just too expensive for most.

Were stepping up and taking the challenge. Gonna run with the Seattle big guns. Bringing not just a can, but a whole case of Oregon whoopin to open up on them. When we come back with the hardware you can look but not touch.

You're not getting that playin in pansy Oregon flower fest tournaments. At least you get to post nice photos on your myspace for gamma and pepaw to see.

If your serious about real soccer you gotta step and take the challenge with the real men.
