And kids are not fragile either. Driving to Hillsboro is no big deal. Lots of kids in the Seattle area drive that far. It's the only arguement you can come up with though. Perhaps offer a good service and players won't leave.

Whenever anyone asks me why I drive my kid to Hillsboro instead of Harmony I always respond with the same question: "If FC Portland were located in Clark county, would you take your kid there instead of Timbers?". Invariably, the answer is yes. Hard to justify not making a 30 minute drive for a product that is so much better.

Sounds like you are a pretty arrogant person. You obviously have not a clue. You are either an employee of FC or a Coach, trying to justify your affiliation with FC. Imbecile is probably a good description of you. Look at the record and failure of FC.. some being the Y-League, USSF Academy, ECNL and the list grows every year... because the people in charge have no clue... they are good salesman but nothing else.

You are crazy if you think you are getting a better skill building experience. You do know UofP's best player never went to FC. In fact she is a Washington Timbers kid. You keep driving forever in traffic and telling yourself how smart you are.

The WashT girl at UP is far from their best player. Very far. Don't move your kid to FC. It's OK really. If you are stupid enough not to be able to see the huge difference in quality between Vantucky Timbers and FCP then you're probably in the right place already.

Careful talking about the record of failure. Look at Washington Timbers record and you'll see nothing but failure. From having to fire every DoC to coaching to facilities to kids leaving by the hundreds every year to almost certain bankruptcy... It's not a pretty picture.
