Must be an incredible team. Missing top three and almost winning Championship. Great work.

I wonder if the rest of the families on the team understood the best three players were not there?

We weren't missing our top 3 players.

Our #1 goalie is out with a broken collar bone. We also had a player with an injury but she played some.

Bottom line is Thusc beat us today but it was a well played game of two fairly equal teams. both teams had lots of missed/stopped shots.

I think some teams may change ranking spots in the top ten once league play starts due to players being gone, hurt, etc. and just generally figuring out/dialing in the new U11 11v11 situation. I know our team would have done much better in tournaments if they hadn't had so many players missing. Of course, it's probably similar all around so it's going to be fun to see how the year plays out and which teams develop best.

Do they have any premier level coaches with at least a "B" USSF license or above?

Has the club won any premier/gold bracket level tournaments this summer or last excluding the bum rush tournaments in the back waters of Washington?
Pacific is a fairly new club that is growing while FCSC is not. Pacific is select, they do not need to play Premier and pay Premier prices. I did see lots of FCSC Premier teams in the Silver and Bronze Division at Mt. Hood Challenge. Nice job, money well spent to play at a low select level. Your B coaches need to step up the training.

Really that club is propped up by 4 teams, 3 being Tina's team. Which you can see on their home page at any given time. Do they ever mention any other teams or coaches.

Agree with you, Pacific has found a great spot, but lately I have been hearing more and more from there parents about wanting to compete with the bigger premier teams. That is fine until they start pushing it to the point where they start raising prices and hurting themselves.

Agreed, they need to keep it simple. Teams are allowed to charge what they want based on their needs, so those few teams that are playing at level, should do it.
You do not need to be Premier to compete with Premier teams, you need numbers. If you do not have the numbers, it is not going to happen anyway. Why to force it.

That model has not worked for the other local club.

I think the biggest competition to them now is the fact that ***C started doing their "tiered" system. Much of the teams that Pacific directly competes with (their B and C teams) are now considered tier 3 which only pays around 600 dollars which is still a little more than pacific but much closer than before. They even have a lower tier which is cheaper than pacific (but probably less talent in those cases). But its the first time a premier club has started giving better price options for lower teams.

Right, you play at Pacific if the coach, team, and proximity are good for you, and you are not the 'serious' soccer player that wants to take it to the next level. Or maybe you are semi-serious about soccer, but you also want to play other sports year round. That is great. I know a number of people who are in that boat, and appreciate the service Pacific provides.

If you are more serious about the game, and/or have aspirations to play true Premier level soccer, you really want to go to ***C. Now that ***C provides tiered system, it also provides the same service that Pacific provides. So again those players may chose ***C over Pacific based on coach, team, and proximity, etc. But if you have aspirations of playing true Premier, even if you are on the B or C team, it probably makes sense to go ***C because you can then be called up easily for guesting and even some cross training with Premier teams. And the transition is more easily attained. And B/C players are called up all the time, especially as teams get older and some kids drop out. There are spots to grab.

I think you have THUSC to far up. I'd bump Eastside and CFC ahead of them by the end of the year. Maybe even FCP

Does EMFC have a full u11 team? I haven't seen them play 11v11 in any tournaments at all this summer.

You are new here. These threads go every which way. It's an open forum. Deal with it. 'In depth' analysis for U11 girls? good Lord.
