Looks like just instructed to clear it up. I thought the score did not reflect the play. The CFC overall had stronger skilled ball handlers if you paid attention and watched them one to one playing. They tried to work the ball from defense player up with passes with control instead of just driving it up again and this might have cost them today but, will pay off later. The moved the ball well down the sides on ***C too. CFC had a good fast defender in back that did well with breakaways against the ***C too. I thought CRC defense was stronger and if want to say which defense was not impressive was ***C.

There was no whistle till after the goal.

As you can see when you get to higher level play defense is a key and can't have girls being instructed to just clear it back up to the forwards. CRC defense trapped and tried to pass it up thats why not as many break aways as ***C team had. Not the ***C defensive girls fault. They are probably doing what they are told to do. He should probably think of switching some of those offensive girls back to defense. It would make a difference. Can't rely on one bigger girl in back to hold it down. Good luck to you rest of tournament. It was a good game.

[QUOTE=Unregistered;1050275]One thing you probably don't know, ***C lost one of their starting defenders because she moved. Hes trying something brand new this weekend because they lost that player. At this point its a new experiment. Not exactly what you want in a tournament that means something, but not much you can do about it at this point. My guess is hes trying to just outscore teams at this point, and hope he has time to work on a new defense by the time NWCL starts, if they can make it there.[/QUOTE
Thats tough for coach and the girls getting thrown into that position. He may have to totally rethink the formation or he might want to consider bringing back the really fast forward you had to play on defensive line playing more sweeper/stopper formation. Good luck.

If ***c has any of there play ups playing with them that should take care of one missing person. Anyone can be beat on any day everyone needs to remember that

This group is playing out how many would have predicted. ***C had a 5-0 win over LOSC this morning and Westside had a 8-0 win over SSC. CFC got on the winning track with a 2-0 win over BSC. Right now if you had to rank this group: ***C/Westside 1 and 2. CFC 3rd, BSC 4th, SSC 5th, LOSC 6th. That ranking could change, but Westside and ***C hold their own destiny to qualify for NWCL. If both teams win out then its whoever has more points will get to the campionship game, could be either of them as they are both tied right now.
Group B:
Far more interesting right now. Thusc won again this morning over FCSC and FC portland had what some may call an upset with a win over Westside copa. What that does for this group is right now Thusc and Westside are 1 and 2, but westside has one more game against FC portland. The NWCL spots seem up for grabs at the minute, but FCSC is the only team not in the race, they are basically out of it already. If i had to guess I would say Thusc wins this group.
