Take a good hard look at the WashT girls teams 1, 2 years older than yours. Steady downhill slide over the last 2+ years. Why would G02 be any different? The exodus has already started.

No doubt you have a valid point. WashT needs a turnaround expert and solely relying on the fields (which are under construction) is a poor strategy but a good start. As for the 02's, they will do fine this year but when do the core players depart???

Some already did. If any of the rest are planning to play ECNL, they will leave next year at the latest so they get a year in at the ECNL club prior to U14 tryouts.

Let's see how ECNL grows in PDX. I know some kids that waltzed onto the team(s) and it's not necessarily the top talent in the area. Will be good to see how they play against the local A teams to help provide the gauge. Might still need to go north for a while to get solid opportunity and exposure.

Do realize ecnl doesn't start till u14. All 02 parents should chill a little on the ecnl talk. Alot of these "A" team kids will be worn out by said parents by u14.
