Crap
Is Oregon being left behind. Washington big clubs are US Youth Soccer through Washington Youth Soccer and we are US Club.

At least with US Youth soccer there is some degree of oversight of the clubs. With US Club, each club's DoC is allowed to do as he/she pleases...

silly question
Why did Oregon go US Club.
Seems like given the say option the big WA clubs remained in the WYSA

The OPL
The OPL has done some strange things, like keeping things just as is.
1. The OPC is collecting a ton money, where is it going. OYSA's overheads where much greater, mismanaged but greater. Is the OPC doing any better. I don't see any investment in soccer.
2. State Cup looks like OYSA state cup with no regionals.
3. ODP looks like OYSA ODP, even the same coaches and admin
Nothing has changed except the OPC is getting richer and we are now funding the Portland Timbers through our player registration for some reason. Looks to be just how OYSA used to fund ODP, a certain amount from each player registration went to ODP.
OPL OYSA just a different master. You would think if these guys were going to continue to rip us off they would find a more creative way.

While other states allowed leagues to run separate from their state organization, helped fund ODP players and put state champions' travel needs ahead of their management and refs, OYSA continued to bully and threatened classic clubs with sanctions if they did not comply. OYSA antics and attitude pretty much dared clubs to try and break away. Guess what? US Club Soccer and FIFA allowed competitive clubs another option. The OPC was formed and proved OYSA wrong. It is that simple. Get over it. Clubs still have options to decide which route to take and at least they are the ones making their choices.

Shocking. I just visited the Washington blog. It's empty. Why don't you move this discussion up there.

oh no
this is an oregon discussion that is why. Do you not want anyone asking a question about OYSA and OPL.
You see the issue is OYSA was total crap, the OPL is the same thing, total crap. Just looking for a better option since BOTH have failed.
Everyone knows it.
