FC Port G18 is playing in the Friendship Cup. They are not an Alliance Team

Also, lets wait and see what teams actually show up to play.
I suppose this means the "pending " teams are NOT coming on the girls side. We have no credibility.

I also hear that not ALL of the ODP girls will even be placed on a team as they are only doing 1 team (98/97/96). SO, this means 12-15 ODP girls per age group will not participate, but a Timbers alliance team will?

They may want to rethink that

                Freindship Cup

This is a BS deal. Timbers ODP charges the crap out of parents, then no others team what to come and they invited club teama and charge them very little to beat the ODP teams.

Gavin and crew get a few extra dollars to go out and party with and laugh at the suckers that paid the fee.

This page shows confirmed/pending as of February 7th, what is it that your are trying to communicate as of current team(s) scheduling?

It's always been like this, even under OYSA. Timbers teams will be picked based on tryouts for Timbers Alliance members. Some of them could still see conflicts if they are ODP players selected to play in the Friendship Cup.

My DD is an aged out G95. This "Cup" has been a joke since the first year she played in it. Her first year had BC, Cal N, Cal S, Utah and Wash. Every year after that the competition went way down. There have always been club teams playing in the Cup.

What are you talking about? OYSA always invited club teams to play in the Friendship Cup. My kids are in their mid-20s and they all played as OPD or club teams in the Friendship Cup. Sometimes they were even threatened by being cut from ODP if they chose to play on their own team for even one of their team's game. They had to pick ODP or club team. Other coaches would let them play saying that it only helped show their skills.

Sounds like boys side better experience than for girls? I don't remember and club teams on boys side and some pretty good competition... Sounders, BC, whitecaps... Would have been neat to have a few more teams but still several very high quality games.

Best thing about Friendship cup is the 3 dollar t-shirts. I got a champions shirt and my daughter can't even make a select team!!
