Timbers Alliance Teams for Friendship Cup

Timbers alliance teams are forming for Friendship cup. Have to be part of the Timbers alliance club to participate.

Great opportunity for my kid who didn't make the state pool.

    Anyone else's kid doing it?

i'm sure there will be some haters who will speak out about this but in the end thats why they are haters and at least we get something for having to change our uniforms!

It's for certain a great opportunity that would not happen if you are not part of the Alliance. Can play teams like the Sounders, Earthquakes, Whitecaps, and more. It's also not out of the question that Region Camp spots could go to a few of these players if they show well enough.

          Timbers Alliance only? Really?

I suppose they could invite good club teams if they don't get anyone better in a particular age or gender. That's more likely on the girls side. The boys side I believe will be a nice mix of Sounders, Earthquakes, Canadian teams, state pool A and B, and Alliance combo. And on boys side Alliance combo teams may hold their own.

Doesn't seem like many teams have confirmed, I certainly hope some quality teams show up

My daughter is trying out in May to be on one of the Friendship Cup teams to play against the ODP teams. I guess that's how they are forming the girls' teams.

Last year there was a THUSC team there and a FC team as well that I remember. At the older ages where the competition becomes tighter, the club teams suffer as some of their better players are playing ODP against them.

There are no other PDX SW WA teams that are in friendship cup besides Timbers Alliance teams. You must be part of a Timbers Alliance club to participate.

There are no boys club teams around oregon that could match the ODP teams at any age. I could see an Alliance combo team making some waves tho.

Not true, ask Erik. They asked other club teams to participate.

Also, lets wait and see what teams actually show up to play.

You must like to give your money away. Not a Timber Alliance team and we are coming
