OYSA is the only path to USYSA National Tournament. The OPL is better for local state games for premier teams, but US Clubs National Tournament is not even close to USYSA level.Originally posted by Unregistered View Post

Just saying. Nothing against those teams, but is it a lot of money and a fun vacation in Hawaii just to have that happen to you.

Boom. Completely agree. Huge financial commitment for a team and if that team is marginal, then you are just throwing your money away. Guaranteed that the other states are putting forward top teams. The more you localize competition the lower the quality becomes. We will have some strong Oregon representatives who will go to regionals and play hard against the best hoping to show their mettle, we will also have some weaker representatives.
Ask yourself, or your child's team however, if we are going to play for a championship at the end of the year, why not have it mean something?Comment
