These sideline fans are the people funding this whole industry and should expect more. It gets a little crazy when DOC make 100K and full-time youth coaches. Long gone are the moms and dads who used to volunteer and line fields early in the morning. It is a pay for services business, and if the customers do not like it, they are going to complain because you are taking money from hard-working people and putting it in your pocket, earn it.

Some of you should go and spend a day on the sidelines and observe the behavior of parents (not just your kid's team) and then we can have a conversation. OSAA and OYSA should fine parents directly. Many teams's parents are great but there are some that are completely out of line towards the refs and opposing teams. There is no need for urging 10 yr old kids to be nasty and overly physical with players on the other team to the point of hurting them. And yes, yelling at the refs that are 15 years old and learning.
