So we know that that coach, who I think is female also, would rather win using high school kids than allow more playing time for kids no playing high school. What a sh!tty move. Saw they were playing OPFC which does not allow its kids to participate at all with club teams during the season, if they play high school.

so yes, BS move by the coach and club. The unethical part is where one team using assets that the other team will not use just to win.

UPDX is so desperate to get girls ECNL and to show they belong with Surf and Thorns that they will pack their Fall OYSA team with JV and Varsity high school players, when other clubs do not, so they can show how “dominate” they are. Love it.


While we are crapping on them, and the only way UPDX will get ECNL is if one of the other two Portland ECNL teams loses it. Why the hell would there be a 3rd ECNL teams here? Pull Eugene Metros or CP in Vancouver from GA before that I’d think. There isn’t the talent to support it 3 in this area. Need other parts of the state covered first. So enjoy OYSA and RL for a long time to come suckers.

Actually she is lost for the HS season and at least 9 more months after tearing her acl playing in a 4th game over 6 days in the oysa fall league, Most importantly her Club team won the game on Sunday so all is well. As parents we are doing our part to promote the club on it's ascension to the major leagues!

If I were an 8th grader I’d be pissed that a kid who is getting games and more practice with high school is waltzing in to play on weekends and taking minutes away. It’s screws over trapped players.

Great point our club Has given us a list of great, rehab centers in Portland area.They also informed us due tobthe injury she will be dropped off of the the roster in oysa, To make room for new player hopefully, a transfer player from another club that can fill her shoes. Life in the Big Leagues, no skirts.

A litle perspective. UPDX has one U15 girls team in fall. The team in Metro D1. U15 fall is really for 8th graders who have nothing else to do until winter.

Because someone thought it would be good to use birth year and not school year to create teams. So U-15 has eight graders that are not in high school yet and Freshman in high school.
