As a whole the Portland Timbers organization suck. 8th in MLS West, 10 MLS next pro and the youth teams have underperformed since inception.

Proffesional academies will be focused (or should be) on the 2/3 players they feel have the potential to get into the first team per age group when it gets to U16 and above and less concerned about losing the odd game. An academy is judged on its pathway to first team for players or producing players with a sell on value. If your losing games and not developing professional players then it’s clearly a situation that needs addressing.

AHHH, there it is, developing players as an excuse for losing. Hey BUB, the Portland Timbers haven't developed Jack Sh$# by loosing over the last decade. Maybe getting winners would turn their US worst academy into something special.
