Wait. What? We are moving to the Portland area from out of state, and trying to take into consideration a number of factors for where to buy a house. All things being equal in terms of education, we are curious about sports.
This response is telling, however. And troubling…

Any post of any coach will be turned negative. Not one good coach is safe here.

It's high school soccer, I wouldn't pick a house or neighborhood based on who is coaching my kids high school team to be honest. HS is for fun for the most part. If your kid is serious about soccer I would focus on clubs and specifically finding a coach for the age group of your kid that is a good fit. This would mean calling up clubs/coaches to learn more.

Sad truth is most club coaches in Oregon are indistinguishable from HS coaches, since most club coaches are just re-tread piss poor former HS coaches or young enthusiasts who still cant beleieve they are getting paid to coach.

With no barrier to entry for any child to be part of the laughable pay to play system, guess what the same criteria holds true for the coaching standard offered..

So you would do better to call a psychic hotline, wait that's just like calling a club coach to learn more.

                Sure. Come on man.
Why would you buy a house based on a HS soccer coach? Most HS coaches turnover every few years… and furthermore the coach will have zero impact on your kids soccer success.

this is so dumb. Your troll skills are rookie level

Oh, I don’t know. Coaches have huge impact on a lot of things.
I’m going to assume the original question was coming from a sincere place, and answer, that like an earlier response I would agree that you should look more into club programs for soccer. High school seasons are short and programs can be filled with politics. Not that club is perfect. Far from it! But, high school
should be more about the overall school experience than about a particular coach.

Since it's no longer about soccer you have a fair point as the club year is much longer. Which Highlights how dismal this entire club ecosystem has become.

This is your criteria for buying a house? And you go to talk-soccer for your information? I would say Jesus Christ if there was such a thing. This is a bogus post from someone who will eventually recommend themselves as the best HS coach.
