If the player is duly registered with US Club, they can play in any US Club sanctioned event that allows them to play in. Meaning, unless the OPL says NO, US Club will do nothing about it. Same goes for USYSA. They look at that as a civil matter.

You are correct though, only the original club can release the player to be transferred to the new club. The club can hold the card if the player owes money under a written agreement.

OPL says it is a no-no, unless they have all executed loan forms to 'guest' play. Unless player has been formally released, they cannot play in a game, and even to go practice, you are supposed to seek permission from your current DOC. See below from OPL website. Of course, lots of players seek opportunities to look elsewhere, so this isn't implying that anyone was recruiting.

Where is the aforementioned player from? Maybe she just moved here?

All you have to do is have the player show up to the competition with a valid us club soccer player club card and a player loan form which can be found and printed off the opl web site. You do not even have us club soccer's approval of the loan as stated in the instructions.

Guest players from outside the club are not allowed. You can play on as many teams within the club that you want.

Does she play on an older or younger FC team?

The guest player was a big help, and yes she did score. But one player will never carry a team. I don't know the legalities of it all, she practices with FCPDX so I think that she is eligible to play.

A majority of the girls are last years ODP 99 state team. It should be fun to watch them scrimmage.
