Striker on WST is the only threat up front and scored their lone goal. With one forward out now, others need to step it up in order to have a successful Spring.
Who cares about spring season. We'll be ready for State Cup when it really matters.

With that attitude,it is unlikely you will have a successful state cup either

Tie WST vs Stealth I would have thought WST by a sizable margin. WST missing players?
FC Portland beats up LO pretty bad. Thought this game would have been a lot closer. What got in to FC's Cheerios?
No surprise Eastside over Gallium, they are just bad.
I think LO has some injuries

We have one girl out with a knee injury still, FC just out hustled/played us. Looks like they picked up a new girl or two, including a goalie.

There seems to be quite a bit of movement again after Fall season. Drama? Or just par for the course??

I believe FC had guest players.

Yes we had one guest player who happens to practice with FC, but we were missing at least 4 or 5 navy so you do the math. How many players were you down?

FC would have been better off with their 4 Navy players. Guest player was not a difference maker.

Guest players from outside the club are not allowed. You can play on as many teams within the club that you want.

It's funny how people can spout off stupid statements like not being a difference maker, overlooking such details as scoring.

All of you parents of 13 year olds should look yourselves in the mirror and say "I really shouldn't say anything about soccer because I really don't know anything". Sit back and enjoy the game and keep your fingers crossed that your precious little dd is still playin in two years.

The guest player was a big help, and yes she did score. But one player will never carry a team. I don't know the legalities of it all, she practices with FCPDX so I think that she is eligible to play.

Not if she hasn't been released by prior club

The rules changed a bit so that 'guest' players cannot play in games with other clubs if they have not been formally released by their previous clubs. They can practice, but if they have not been released, then they cannot play in a game. I'm sure that FC is on top of it.

And the only reason a club can legitimately not "release" a player is for non payment of fees.

If the player is duly registered with US Club, they can play in any US Club sanctioned event that allows them to play in. Meaning, unless the OPL says NO, US Club will do nothing about it. Same goes for USYSA. They look at that as a civil matter.

You are correct though, only the original club can release the player to be transferred to the new club. The club can hold the card if the player owes money under a written agreement.
