When the players see an empty stadium they will know change is coming. If they look up and see the stands packed they will know nothing will change.

The players, you know the actual women who are on the team, want THEIR fans to stand with them. They do not want to be abandoned in a time of their greatest need for support.
You part of the patriarchal power structure that continues to tell women how they should behave. And, that makes you a bigger part of the problem than any fan who attends the game. You would rather punish these women who have done nothing wrong than provide them with the type support they are asking for.

When unsure of what to do, when snagged on the horns of a moral dilemma, I always consult anonymous internet forums for advice!

If an NBA owner was obviously racist and discriminated against players, would fans boycott until they were replaced? Yes, and it has happened in Sacramento and other cities.
But since this happened to women athletes no one seems to care.
I hope more people than not make the right choice and send the right message. Merritt Paulson must go.

"Support the players by giving the people who enabled their abuse money."
The whole thing needs to be rebuilt, from youth programs upward, for both Timbers and Thorns. Rip the band-aid off now. Mail the players your ticket money if that will help.

BOYCOTT the game and show the owners that they are not welcome here.
Becky Sauerbrunn is the only player that is willing to stick her neck out and basically call out Paulson.
The investors and owners are scared that people won’t show up. They keep putting press out and making the players give press conferences. Don’t go! Send the message. They are not welcome here and we will not put up with this abuse of women ever again.
