AFAIK nobody knew anything until the FBI arrested him. Like all soccer clubs, WSM does background checks on pretty much everyone involved, prior to the arrest I'm not aware of any reason Doyle would not have passed such a check.

I doubt it had anything to do with anything; Doyle was just a board member and had nothing to do with the players. WT had a good showing at tryouts for the 08s. I've heard rumors of a group of kids leaving Copa White (the B team) over an issue specific to that team, but am not aware of any major changes to Copa Red, other than losing key players to Timbers Academy.

If you're talking about boys, the 08 copa reds returned everyone except the 2 that got selected for the Timbers academy. They added a player from adf and 2 from wsm ts. 09s had everyone return as well. Get better info next time..

One of those kids accounted for half their goals this year. More so if you count goals and his assist's for the year. What are they without him? The other boy was the only one picked for national ODP. This age group will be dominated by Salmon Creek now. Westside TS is the team that lost a ton of players.

Word is a couple left (TS), more were picked up. If this is true they should be a solid group.

The 06 COPA was decimated. 2 starters going to UPDX, 4 starters and goalie going to FC, 2nd goalie giving up soccer due to injury, others running for the hills too.

I see on their website they are offering FREE supplemental tryout for 08B & 08G. In addition, you just need to email 06B head coach as they have openings. Maybe your info is acurate.
